LineDanceHero Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 16, 2026
Last Updated: October 16, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to LineDanceHero.

LineDanceHero (“LineDanceHero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application and related website operated by Alec Tong, an individual operating LineDanceHero in Ontario, Canada.

LineDanceHero is designed to help people discover line dances, connect with other dancers, find venues and events, track their dancing activities, and participate in the line-dancing community.

We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly, transparently, and securely.

This Privacy Policy explains:

  • What information we collect and how we collect it;
  • Why we collect and use personal information;
  • How information is shared with other users and service providers;
  • How location information and third-party technologies are used;
  • Where information may be processed and stored;
  • How long information is retained;
  • How you can access, correct, control, or delete your information; and
  • How to contact us about privacy questions or concerns.

This Privacy Policy applies to the LineDanceHero mobile application, our website at https://linedancehero.com, and related services we operate (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have been provided with this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for particular activities, we will seek that consent.

If you do not agree with an optional collection or use of information, you may decline the relevant permission or feature. Certain information is necessary to provide an account and the core Services.

You may contact us using the email address above to ask questions, exercise applicable privacy rights, or raise concerns about how your information is handled.

3. Age Eligibility

LineDanceHero is intended for individuals who are at least 16 years old.

You must be 16 or older to create an account or use the Services.

To create an account or continue using the Services, you must confirm that you are at least 16 years old and that you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

This confirmation is a statement you make about yourself. We record it with your account, but we do not collect your date of birth or government identification, and we do not independently verify your age.

We do not knowingly permit individuals under 16 to maintain accounts.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we may suspend or delete the account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements.

If you believe someone under 16 is using LineDanceHero, please contact support@linedancehero.com.

4. Information We Collect

We collect information in three principal ways:

  1. Information you provide directly;
  2. Information generated when you use the Services; and
  3. Information processed through technologies and third-party service providers used to operate the Services.

The information collected depends on the features you use, your device settings, and the permissions you grant.

4.1 Account and Authentication Information

When you create or access an account, we may collect or process:

  • Email address;

  • Account identifier;

  • Display name or username;

  • Authentication provider and related account information;

  • Account creation and sign-in information;

  • Authentication and security records;

  • Your acceptance of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and your confirmation that you are at least 16 years old, recorded with your account together with the version of the documents you accepted and the time you accepted them.

LineDanceHero supports account authentication through email and supported third-party sign-in services, including Apple and Google.

If you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive the information that the provider makes available and that is needed to authenticate your account.

For example, Apple may provide a private relay email address when you choose to hide your email.

We do not receive your Apple or Google account password.

If you register using email and a password, authentication credentials are handled through our authentication infrastructure. We do not need access to your plaintext password to operate the Services.

4.2 Profile Information

Depending on what you choose to provide, your profile may contain:

  • Display name;
  • Username or profile identifier;
  • Profile photograph;
  • Biography or other profile description;
  • City and country;
  • Dance-related interests and activities;
  • Social media links and a website address, if you add them;
  • The roles you choose (for example dancer, instructor, or DJ);
  • Your experience level; and
  • Other profile details supported by the Services.

Some profile information is visible to other LineDanceHero users.

You should avoid including sensitive personal information in your public-facing profile.

Profile location privacy: LineDanceHero provides settings that control whether other users can see your city and country, only your country, or neither.

Your selected visibility setting determines what location information is made available to other users through supported profile features.

Your own location details may remain visible to you and accessible to LineDanceHero’s authorized systems where necessary to provide and administer the Services.

4.3 User-Generated Content

LineDanceHero allows users to create, upload, share, and interact with content.

Depending on your activities, we may collect:

  • Posts, captions, comments, and replies;
  • Photographs and videos you upload;
  • Dance-related submissions and information;
  • Playlists and saved dance information;
  • Venue and event submissions;
  • Event descriptions and other community contributions;
  • Reactions, likes, follows, and other social interactions;
  • Event RSVPs and participation information;
  • Song requests and other supported community interactions;
  • Reports of inappropriate content or behavior; and
  • Information provided in moderation-related communications.

Content you choose to publish or share may be visible to other users according to the feature’s visibility settings.

For example, posts and comments may be visible within the LineDanceHero community, while playlists may have different visibility settings.

Some submitted venue, event, or dance information may become part of a community directory or catalog.

Please do not upload content containing another person’s sensitive personal information without an appropriate basis for doing so.

Photographs and videos may also contain information about people, locations, or activities visible in the media itself.

Uploaded media may contain embedded metadata. We cannot guarantee that all embedded location or device metadata is removed before processing or storage.

We encourage you to review media and its metadata before uploading.

4.4 Dance Activity and Community Participation

When you use dance-related features, we may process information such as:

  • Dances you have learned or are learning;

  • Dance progress and learning status;

  • Saved dances and playlists;

  • Dance counts and activity records;

  • Check-ins and streaks;

  • Badges and achievements;

  • Venues or events you interact with;

  • Your event participation or RSVP status;

  • Accounts you follow and interactions with other users.

We use this information to provide the features you select, maintain your account, and support the community experience.

Some activity may be visible to other users when the relevant feature is designed for sharing.

4.5 Location Information

LineDanceHero offers location-related functionality to help users discover nearby venues, events, and other geographically relevant information.

Depending on how you use these features, we may process:

  • Your device’s approximate or precise geographic coordinates;
  • Locations you search for;
  • City and country information you enter;
  • Map areas you view;
  • Search proximity and geographic search parameters; and
  • Location-related information supplied to our mapping provider.

Device location and profile location are different. Your profile city and country are details you provide or maintain as part of your profile. Device coordinates may be processed separately when you use location-enabled features.

When you permit location access, the application may use device coordinates to determine which venues or events are nearby.

Coordinates may be transmitted to our backend services as part of location-related requests.

Our current application design does not intentionally save a permanent history of your device’s precise coordinates in a dedicated user-location database table.

However, location-related requests may pass through authenticated service infrastructure, and operational logs or third-party systems may process associated request information or identifiers.

We therefore do not represent all location-related information as anonymous or incapable of association with a user.

Location-related search results and request information may also be temporarily cached on your device to support application performance.

In the public release of the app and later versions, this on-device cache is cleared when you sign out or delete your account (see Section 12.4). Earlier pre-release versions may keep it until the app is removed or the cache is cleared in Settings.

You can control location permission through your device’s operating-system settings.

If you decline or revoke location access, certain nearby-discovery functions may be limited. Other features may remain available, including location searches that do not require your device’s current position.

4.6 Maps, Geocoding, and Mapbox Telemetry

LineDanceHero uses Mapbox to provide maps and geographic functionality.

When you interact with map or location-related features, Mapbox may receive information such as:

  • Precise or approximate device location;
  • Geographic search and proximity parameters;
  • Map interactions and product usage information;
  • Device, application, or SDK identifiers;
  • Technical performance information;
  • Diagnostic information; and
  • Other data described in Mapbox’s applicable privacy disclosures.

Mapbox’s iOS SDK privacy declarations identify collection categories including precise location, coarse location, user identifiers, product interactions, other usage information, performance information, and other diagnostic information.

Those declarations identify application functionality and analytics among the purposes of collection.

Mapbox may process certain information to operate, maintain, evaluate, and improve its mapping services.

Mapbox’s SDK privacy declarations describe specified data as not linked to user identity and not used for tracking. Those declarations concern Mapbox’s stated SDK practices and do not establish that every location-related request throughout LineDanceHero’s infrastructure is anonymous.

Mapbox may provide telemetry participation controls through its map attribution or information interface, depending on the SDK functionality and interface available.

You can also manage LineDanceHero’s access to device location through your device settings.

For further information about Mapbox’s own practices, consult:

https://www.mapbox.com/legal/privacy

We do not use Mapbox location data to sell your precise location to advertisers.

4.7 Technical, Device, and Security Information

When you use the Services, we and our service providers may process technical information necessary for operation, troubleshooting, and security.

This may include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • Device and operating-system information;
  • Application version;
  • Authentication and session identifiers;
  • Network request information;
  • Timestamps;
  • Error and diagnostic information;
  • Performance information;
  • Security-related events; and
  • Information necessary to investigate abuse, failures, or unauthorized access.

Some information may be processed automatically by hosting, authentication, mapping, and network infrastructure.

The information available in service-provider logs may differ from information intentionally stored in LineDanceHero’s application database.

4.8 Usage Analytics

LineDanceHero’s initial production configuration does not enable its optional PostHog analytics integration.

We do not intentionally send production usage events to PostHog while that integration remains disabled.

However, other service providers, including Mapbox, may collect technical, diagnostic, and usage-related information as part of their own SDK functionality.

Accordingly, the absence of LineDanceHero’s optional analytics integration does not mean that no technical or usage information is processed anywhere in the Services.

If we enable additional optional analytics in the future, we will review the applicable privacy disclosures and consent requirements before doing so.

4.9 Information You Send to Support

If you contact us by email or through an available support channel, we may collect:

  • Your name or email address;

  • The content of your inquiry;

  • Information or attachments you provide;

  • Relevant account or technical details needed to investigate the issue; and

  • Our correspondence with you.

We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, investigate problems, and maintain appropriate records.

Please avoid emailing passwords, authentication codes, or unnecessary sensitive information.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We collect and use personal information for identified purposes connected to providing, operating, protecting, and improving LineDanceHero.

These purposes include:

5.1 Providing the Services

We use information to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts;
  • Maintain user profiles;
  • Display dances, playlists, and dance activity;
  • Provide venue and event discovery;
  • Support location-based search and maps;
  • Publish and display user-generated content;
  • Enable social and community interactions;
  • Maintain event participation information; and
  • Provide other features you choose to use.

5.2 Personalizing Your Experience

We may use your preferences, saved content, dance activity, and interactions to display information relevant to your use of the Services.

This includes maintaining your dance progress, playlists, and other account-specific features.

5.3 Communications and Account Administration

We use contact and account information to:

  • Send authentication or email-verification messages;

  • Support password resets;

  • Respond to support requests;

  • Communicate important account information;

  • Notify you about significant service or policy changes where appropriate; and

  • Administer account deletion or privacy requests.

We do not currently operate an advertising email program as part of the initial Services.

5.4 Safety, Security, and Moderation

We may process information to:

  • Investigate reported content or accounts;
  • Enforce community rules and our Terms of Service;
  • Detect or prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity;
  • Protect users and the Services;
  • Maintain service integrity; and
  • Respond to lawful requests or legal obligations.

5.5 Performance and Service Improvement

We may use technical, diagnostic, and appropriately aggregated information to identify problems, improve reliability, and understand how features operate.

Third-party providers may separately process information for service performance and analytics as described in their own policies.

We may process information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful legal processes, protect legal rights, or address disputes.

We do not use personal information for materially unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis or additional consent where required.

Where consent is required by applicable law, we seek meaningful consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information.

Certain information is necessary to create an account and provide the core Services. Other information, such as device location access or optional profile details, depends on your choices.

Where laws such as the European Union’s or United Kingdom’s data protection laws apply, our processing may rely on applicable legal grounds, including:

  • Performance of a contract: Providing the Services you request;
  • Consent: Processing for which consent is required, including applicable optional permissions;
  • Legitimate interests: Maintaining security, preventing abuse, and operating and improving the Services where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and
  • Legal obligations: Meeting applicable legal requirements.

The appropriate legal ground depends on the processing activity and applicable jurisdiction.

You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice where permitted by law.

Withdrawal does not necessarily affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

If information is essential to a particular feature, withdrawing the relevant permission may prevent that feature from operating.

7. Information Visible to Other Users

LineDanceHero includes social and community features.

Depending on the feature and your privacy settings, other signed-in users may be able to see the following in the app:

  • Your username, display name, and profile photograph, and your biography and social links if you add them;
  • Your city and country, only as your location-visibility setting allows (full, country only, or hidden);
  • The roles you choose to hold, the accounts you follow, and the accounts that follow you;
  • Your posts, photographs, videos, and comments;
  • Your publicly shared playlists;
  • Venue and event information you submit;
  • Badges you choose to showcase, and your “dances learned” and “venues visited” totals, which are shown by default (other statistics are private unless you choose to make them public in Settings);
  • In an event’s song-request queue, your first name next to the dances you request or upvote, which the event’s DJ and other attendees viewing the queue can see; and
  • Other information you choose to share through community features.

Some information is private by default. Your event RSVPs are not shown individually (other people see only totals), and your dance statuses, check-ins, dance-counter sessions, and private playlists are not shown to other users (other attendees see only how many dancers have checked in).

Information available through the app’s underlying interfaces. The LineDanceHero app communicates with our servers through an interface (an API) that the apps of other signed-in users can also query. Some records can be read by any signed-in user through that interface even where the app does not normally display them. This includes individual song-request records (which account requested or upvoted which dance at which event), even though the app normally shows the queue to the event’s DJ and attendees only as dances with vote counts and first names. It also includes the profile fields described in Section 4.2, other than your city and country (which are released only as your location setting allows), and the lists of accounts you follow and that follow you. Uploaded media files are different again: see Section 10.

Not every feature has the same visibility controls.

Profile city and country visibility settings do not automatically make posts, comments, submitted venues, or other community content private.

Information you publish may be viewed, copied, captured, or shared by other users outside our control.

You should consider this before posting personal or sensitive information.

We may remove or restrict content in accordance with our Terms of Service, community rules, applicable law, or safety requirements.

8. Sharing Information With Third Parties

We do not sell personal information to data brokers or operate a targeted advertising business as part of LineDanceHero’s initial production service.

We share or make information available when necessary to provide the Services, when you direct us to share it, or where permitted or required by law.

8.1 Service Providers

We use external service providers for infrastructure and functionality.

These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

Our principal providers include:

Supabase

Supabase provides database hosting, authentication, file storage, backend functions, and related infrastructure.

Information processed through Supabase may include account information, user-generated content, profile information, authentication records, location-related requests, and technical information.

Website: https://supabase.com

Mapbox

Mapbox provides maps, geocoding, and location-related services.

Mapbox may receive geographic, device, usage, performance, and diagnostic information as described in Section 4.6.

Website: https://www.mapbox.com

Apple

Apple may provide Sign in with Apple and other operating-system or App Store functionality.

Information shared through Apple sign-in depends on your choices and Apple’s authentication services.

Website: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Google

Google may provide account authentication through Google Sign-In.

Google Workspace also provides our business email infrastructure.

Website: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Resend

Resend may provide transactional email delivery, including account verification, authentication-related messages, and password-reset communications.

Email addresses and information necessary to deliver these messages may be processed by the email service provider.

Website: https://resend.com

YouTube and External Content Providers

Dance pages and lists show preview images for tutorial and demonstration videos. Those images are loaded automatically from YouTube’s servers (operated by Google) whenever a dance is displayed, so Google may receive your IP address and device information even if you do not play the video.

If you tap play, the video is shown in an embedded YouTube player (using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode), and the relevant provider may receive information under its own privacy policy.

Website: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The providers used by LineDanceHero may change as the Services evolve. We will update this Policy where material changes require additional disclosure.

8.2 Other Users

We share information with other users when required by the community features you use and according to the relevant visibility controls.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable laws or valid legal processes;
  • Respond to lawful requests from public authorities;
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of users or others;
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, or unlawful conduct; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We assess requests according to applicable law.

8.4 Business Changes

If LineDanceHero undergoes a lawful business transfer, reorganization, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred where legally permitted and subject to appropriate privacy protections and notices.

9. International Processing and Data Transfers

LineDanceHero is operated from Ontario, Canada, but our service providers may process and store information in other countries.

Our production Supabase infrastructure is hosted in the United States, in the Ohio region.

Other service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, or additional jurisdictions depending on their infrastructure and services.

Information processed outside your country may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is stored or accessed, including lawful access requests by government authorities.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use appropriate contractual, organizational, or other legally recognized measures.

We seek to use service providers that maintain appropriate protections for the information they process, but we cannot guarantee that another jurisdiction provides identical legal protections to your home jurisdiction.

10. Data Storage and Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, and loss.

These measures include, where applicable:

  • Authenticated account access;
  • Database access controls;
  • Restricted administrative access;
  • Secure network communications;
  • Authentication and authorization controls;
  • Server-side security measures;
  • Security-related monitoring and maintenance; and
  • Account deletion and data cleanup procedures.

Certain uploaded media and community content are stored using publicly accessible storage arrangements so that authorized application features can display or retrieve them.

A public media URL may be accessible to someone who possesses or obtains that URL, even when the content is not prominently displayed within the application.

After media is deleted, copies already cached by a content-delivery network can remain viewable for a short time (see Section 12.4).

You should not treat uploaded photographs, videos, or community media as confidential storage.

No internet-connected system or method of electronic storage is completely secure.

Although we take reasonable steps to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will assess the incident and provide notices to affected individuals or authorities when required by applicable law.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable legal, operational, security, and recordkeeping requirements.

Retention depends on the type of information and the circumstances.

11.1 Active Accounts

While your account remains active, we generally retain the information necessary to maintain your profile, content, preferences, activity, and community participation.

You may be able to edit or remove certain information through available application features.

11.2 Deleted Accounts

When you delete your account, our deletion process is designed to remove your content and personal records from active application systems, disable your sign-in, and replace your email address and sign-in identifiers with anonymous placeholders, subject to the exceptions described in Section 12.

11.3 Operational Records and Logs

Technical, authentication, security, and service-provider records may be retained for limited operational periods determined by their purpose, provider settings, applicable agreements, and legal requirements.

These records may not follow the same deletion schedule as primary account database records.

11.4 Backups

Backups may temporarily retain copies of information that has been removed from active systems.

Backup copies are managed according to applicable backup retention and restoration procedures and may not be individually editable or immediately removable.

Where backup information is restored, appropriate deletion or suppression procedures may need to be reapplied.

We may retain information where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, investigate serious abuse, preserve evidence, resolve disputes, or protect legal rights.

We seek to limit retained information to what is necessary for those purposes.

11.6 De-Identified or Aggregated Information

Information that has been appropriately de-identified or aggregated so that it no longer identifies an individual may be retained for legitimate operational or analytical purposes, subject to applicable law.

We do not treat information as anonymous merely because a visible username has been removed.

12. Account Deletion and Removal of Personal Information

You may request deletion of your LineDanceHero account through the application.

12.1 How to Delete Your Account

In the LineDanceHero application:

  1. Open Me.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Follow the displayed confirmation instructions.

If you cannot sign in, first try to recover access (for example with the password-reset option, or by signing in again with Apple or Google) and delete the account in the app. If that is not possible, contact support@linedancehero.com. You may also contact us if you need assistance with a privacy request.

Before we delete an account on request, we need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder. We will ask you to confirm control of the email address registered to the account by replying to a message we send there, and we may ask for further information. If we cannot confirm that a request is genuine, we may decline it. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, or identity documents.

Support-assisted deletion cannot disconnect Sign in with Apple. If you used it, you can remove LineDanceHero in the Sign in with Apple settings of your Apple ID.

Deleting the application from your device does not automatically delete your LineDanceHero account.

12.2 Information Removed During Account Deletion

Our account deletion process is designed to remove your active account and associated personal information, including, as applicable:

  • Your posts, with their photographs and videos, and your comments (replies that other people wrote on your posts are removed along with them);
  • Your playlists and their cover images, and photographs you added to venue listings;
  • Your profile information, including your name, photograph, biography, location, and social links, with your username replaced by a generic placeholder;
  • Your learning progress, dance statuses, favourites, interests, check-ins, dance-counter sessions, streaks, achievements, follows, blocks, saved items, notifications, and roles;
  • The files you uploaded to our storage;
  • Your sign-in: your email address and sign-in identifiers (including any Apple or Google identifier) are replaced with anonymous placeholders and the account is disabled. Our authentication system keeps a minimal record (a random account identifier and the times the account was created and last used); and
  • Other personal records designated for removal by the deletion process.

The deletion process may include automated cleanup operations to address related records or stored files. Files are removed by an automated process that checks that each file is gone and retries if a step fails. Removal is not instantaneous (see Section 12.4).

12.3 Community Contributions and Information That May Remain

Certain contributions to shared community resources, such as venue listings, event listings, and dance-related submissions, may remain after your account is deleted where continued retention is permitted by applicable law.

Where retained, these contributions are no longer linked to your original public profile, but they may remain associated with a placeholder for your deleted account. The placeholder has a generic username (such as “deleted_” followed by random characters) and keeps only its creation and deletion dates and the fact that it was deleted. Retained contributions are not necessarily anonymous (see below).

Likes, event RSVPs, and song-request votes (which are counted in totals shown to others), reports you made (including any note you typed, which only moderators can read), and moderation records about your account may also be retained, associated with the same placeholder account, where necessary for community integrity, security, or lawful purposes. Event DJ assignments and choreographer credits that pointed to your account are unlinked from it; the event or catalog entry itself remains.

Removing an account identifier does not necessarily make all retained content anonymous. A venue description, event submission, or other contribution may still contain identifying details that you originally included in the content. Retained free-text content, including descriptions, notes, and report text, may identify you, and we cannot guarantee that retained records are anonymous.

If retained community content contains personal information that you believe should be reviewed or removed, you may request review or removal by contacting support@linedancehero.com. We will assess the request under applicable privacy law and our content-handling obligations.

12.4 Information Outside Our Immediate Control

Deleting your account does not automatically remove:

  • Content previously copied or captured by other users;
  • Information independently retained by external websites or services;
  • Records that must lawfully be retained;
  • Certain provider logs or temporary backup copies;
  • Copies of public photographs and videos that a content-delivery network has cached because someone viewed them, which can remain viewable for a short time after the file is removed from our storage; or
  • Information that has already been appropriately de-identified and can no longer reasonably identify you.

Data cached on your own device is handled separately. In the public release of the app and later versions, the on-device cache of previously loaded content, and any dance-counter session stored on your device, are cleared when you sign out or delete your account. Earlier pre-release versions may keep that data until the app is removed or the cache is cleared in Settings.

12.5 Processing of Deletion Requests

We aim to process in-app deletion requests promptly through our automated account deletion procedures.

Deletions requested through support are carried out by us once the request has been verified. We cannot give a fixed completion time for any deletion.

Some related cleanup, backup expiration, service-provider retention, or legally required recordkeeping may continue after the active account has been removed.

If a deletion request requires additional handling, we will address it in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

You may contact us if you believe information associated with your deleted account remains improperly accessible.

13. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

These may include:

13.1 Access

You may request information about personal data we hold about you and, where legally required, obtain access to that information.

13.2 Correction

You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

Some profile details can be edited directly through the application.

13.3 Deletion

You may delete your account through the application or request deletion of applicable personal information by contacting us.

Certain exceptions may apply where retention is required or permitted by law.

Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to applicable legal restrictions.

You can also change certain device permissions and privacy settings.

13.5 Objection or Restriction

Where applicable law provides these rights, you may object to particular processing or request that certain processing be restricted.

13.6 Data Portability

Where legally required and technically applicable, you may request a copy of eligible personal information in a portable format.

13.7 Complaints

You may contact us with concerns about our handling of personal information.

You may also have the right to contact a relevant privacy or data protection regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another authority with jurisdiction over your complaint.

13.8 How to Exercise Your Rights

Send your request to:

support@linedancehero.com

Please describe the request and, where relevant, identify the account involved.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before disclosing, modifying, or deleting account information.

We will not require unnecessary sensitive information for verification.

We will respond within timeframes required by applicable law and explain any legally permitted limitations on a request.

14. Your Privacy Controls

LineDanceHero provides or relies on several privacy controls.

Profile Visibility

You can manage supported profile-location visibility settings, including whether other users can see your city, country, or neither.

Device Location

You can allow, limit, or revoke location permission through your device’s operating-system settings.

Content Visibility

Where a feature supports visibility settings, such as private or public playlists, you can select the available option.

Other community content may remain visible according to the feature’s design.

Blocking and Reporting

You can use available blocking and reporting features to manage interactions and report concerning behavior or content.

Account Deletion

You can initiate deletion of your account through Settings.

Third-Party Controls

Apple, Google, Mapbox, and other providers may offer additional privacy controls under their own services and policies.

Your choices within those services may affect the information they process.

15. Advertising, Tracking, and Automated Decisions

LineDanceHero does not currently operate third-party behavioral advertising or sell user profiles for targeted advertising.

We do not intentionally use personal information to track users across unrelated companies’ applications or websites for advertising purposes.

Some integrated services may collect information for functionality, analytics, performance, or diagnostics, as explained elsewhere in this Policy.

Such collection is not necessarily equivalent to advertising tracking, but remains subject to applicable privacy requirements.

LineDanceHero does not currently use solely automated decision-making to make decisions about users that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

If our practices materially change, we will update our disclosures and implement any required notices or consent mechanisms.

16. Website Privacy

Our website at https://linedancehero.com provides information about LineDanceHero, our legal policies, and support.

The initial website is designed as a static informational site without advertising trackers or optional marketing analytics.

Nevertheless, the website’s hosting provider and network infrastructure may automatically process technical information, including IP addresses, browser information, request timestamps, and security or diagnostic records, to deliver and protect the website.

The website may link to third-party websites. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies. If we introduce cookies, analytics, forms, or additional website features that materially change how personal information is collected, we will update this Policy and implement any required consent controls.
